One of the biggest attractions for visitors has been our very own swallows. We counted a dozen nesting pairs in 2009 and they provided hours of fascination for our guests.

And no wonder! The newly-fledged chicks especially are worth watching for hours…

We spotted the first swallows last year on April 14 - so the countdown is now on for their imminent return. We'll keep you posted!
